Moat Primary Academy Celebrates Positive Ofsted Report

We are delighted to announce that Moat Primary Academy has been judged as ‘good’ in all areas by Ofsted. 

Led by Headteacher, Katrina Spendlove, the school “cares deeply for the pupils” and the report recognises its remarkable progress.

The inspection took place on 20th and 21st February and received the following judgements:

  • Behaviour and Attitudes: Good
  • Personal Development: Good
  • Leadership and Management: Good
  • Early Years provision: Good

The inspection showcases a significant leap from the school’s previous grade and the inspectors made the following key points in their report:

Quality of Education: Moat Primary Academy was lauded for its dedication to providing an enriching curriculum that inspires students to excel academically.

Behaviour and Attitudes: The report highlighted the positive attitudes of students towards learning and their supportive relationships with staff, creating a nurturing environment conducive to academic growth.

Personal Development: The school's commitment to providing diverse opportunities for students' personal growth through extracurricular activities, trips, and clubs was commended.

Leadership and Management: Under the leadership of Headteacher Katrina Spendlove with support from the Greenshaw Learning Trust, Moat Primary Academy has demonstrated exceptional leadership and management, driving substantial progress across all areas of school management.

Early Years Provision: Moat Primary Academy was praised for providing a strong foundation for children's learning, fostering cooperation, independence, and a love for reading from an early age.

In response to the feedback, Moat Primary Academy remains committed to building upon its successes and working collaboratively with parents, carers, and the trust to further enhance the educational experience for all students.
