Yate Academy in South Gloucestershire joined the Greenshaw Learning Trust in September 2017 and rapid improvements over the last year have culminated in an outstanding set of GCSE results with particularly significant improvements in maths and English. Headteacher, Isabel Ambrose, said: “I am absolutely thrilled with these well-deserved GCSE results. The hard work from students and staff, along with the support from their families, has made this momentous achievement possible.”

Five Acres High School, in the Forest of Dean, has also completed its first full year as part of the Greenshaw Learning Trust, with students and staff working closely together to produce startlingly good GCSE results. There was a dramatic rise in the number of students having success in subjects across the board. Headteacher, Ben Parnell, said: “We are absolutely delighted with the achievements of our young people and thrilled for their families and our community. We are a high performing school with results significantly above national averages.”

Students and teachers at the Brakenhale School, in Bracknell Forest, recorded the best results in the school’s history. There were significant improvements in all subject areas, with an increase in the proportion of students achieving the top grades. Headteacher, Jane Coley, said: “Our GCSE results, along with our A level results, clearly show the rapid and sustained progress that the Brakenhale School continues to make. We would like to congratulate all our students on their well-deserved success and thank our teaching staff, governors and parents, who have guided and supported them on their journey.”

The students of Greenshaw High School, in Sutton, are celebrating the school’s best ever GCSE results. As envelopes were opened, students were greeted with excellent results across the board with many achieving the very best grades. Headteacher, Nick House, said: "These are brilliant results that set our pupils securely on the next stage of their journey."

Students and teachers at Orchard Park High School, in Croydon, were celebrating big improvements in GCSE outcomes. Especially pleasing was the increase in the proportion of students achieving good passes in both English and maths. Headteacher, Ciara Warnock, said: “As a school we are elated with this year’s results; outcomes for our students have improved significantly from last year. This is a testament to the hard work and dedication of students, parents and teachers. It affirms the positive impact of the changes which have taken place over the last twelve months.”

Henley Bank High School joined Greenshaw Learning Trust in January 2018. In a short space of time, students and staff have worked hard to yield significant improvements. This year’s results showed an increase in the proportion of students achieving good passes in maths and English. Headteacher, Bradley Nash, said: “Our GCSE results clearly show the rapid progress that Henley Bank High School is making and we would like to congratulate all our students on their well-deserved success.
