Crown Wood joins Greenshaw Learning Trust
Crown Wood Primary School joins the Greenshaw Learning Trust.
Crown Wood Primary School is a three from entry primary school to the south east of the centre of Bracknell in Berkshire.
Crown Wood is an inclusive school where every child is able to enjoy their education and is supported to achieve their full potential. Crown Wood serves the same community as nearby Brakenhale School that has been part of the Greenshaw Learning Trust since April 2016.
"As part of the Greenshaw Learning Trust, Crown Wood will both benefit from and contribute to the close collaboration with the other schools in the Greenshaw family, and receive the support the school needs to continue on its journey of improvement.
Having carefully considered how to secure the best future for the school and its pupils, the Crown Wood governing body decided in November 2016 that the school should become an academy and join the Greenshaw Learning Trust. The governing body consulted its stakeholders, including staff and parents, and received the approval of the Department for Education.
The necessary arrangements between the school, the Greenshaw Learning Trust, Bracknell Forest Council and the DfE have been agreed and the school formally became an academy and joined the Greenshaw Learning Trust on 1 June 2017.
