Exam results 2020

A statement from the Greenshaw Learning Trust.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, A Level, AS Level and GCSE examinations were cancelled. Following the Government’s announcement on 17 August, students will now be awarded the ‘Centre Assessment Grade’ for each subject. The Centre Assessment Grade is based on the grade students would be most likely to have achieved had examinations gone ahead, taking into account a range of evidence including, for example, non-examined assessment and mock results.

Will Smith, CEO of the Greenshaw Learning Trust, commented: “Whilst we are disappointed our students never had the opportunity to sit their exams and prove what they have learnt during many years of study, our schools have fairly awarded grades that reflect our students’ dedication and hard work. Students can be reassured that Centre Assessed Grades have been through a rigorous process of moderation. At the end of a turbulent year, our schools will be on hand to support our students as they take the next step on their learning journey.”
