Aurora Reid

I trained to be an RE teacher with the Teach First Programme in London. Later, I trained to be a SENDCo. After taking various School Leadership and Independent Consulting roles, I became the school Improvement Lead for Avanti Schools Trust.

Following a move home to the South West, I joined GLT in September 2025 as a School Improvement Lead based down in Plymouth. I knew the trust from some independent work I'd done with one of there schools and knew them to be an organisation, led by committed and reflective leaders and truly effective in addressing educational disadvantage. 

From the inside. this is now even more apparent. The phrase 'always learning' underpins everything we do and I've grown hugely as part of it.
