Joining the Systems & Integration team within Greenshaw Learning Trust’s Shared Services six months ago marked an exciting new chapter in my career. Coming from a background in IT support and data management within individual schools and a Local Authority, I was eager to see how those skills would translate to a large, forward-thinking Multi-Academy Trust. What I found was a culture that truly values technical expertise and professional growth.
One of the standout elements of the Greenshaw Learning Trust recruitment and onboarding process is the investment in people. My journey began with an extensive induction program that ensured I wasn't just "thrown into the deep end." This included considerable system-specific training, cultural integration (understanding how Shared Services supports the frontline mission of the Trust) and continued learning. I have recently started a Level 4 Apprenticeship, allowing me to sharpen my technical leadership skills while delivering impact in my daily role.
In the Systems & Integration team, we don't just maintain; we innovate. My previous experience with data and systems in Education has been supercharged by the scale and broad range of the projects I’m now involved in. Currently, I am working on areas to drive efficiencies such as AI Implementation, Data Architecture and Digital Transformation.
The culture here strikes the perfect balance: you’re never working in isolation, yet you’re given the space to lead. Support is always just a conversation away, but the Trust places real value on my expertise, giving me the independence to shape my own projects and manage my priorities to deliver results in a way that works best for the schools we support.
My background in local government gave me a solid foundation, but the Trust has provided the platform to apply my skills to large-scale, meaningful projects. The recruitment process was efficient, transparent and welcoming. The ongoing commitment to my professional development via the apprenticeship is a testament to how they value their staff.
If you are looking for a role where you are valued and where your technical skills meet a clear social purpose, I couldn't recommend Greenshaw Learning Trust and the Shared Services team here highly enough.
