Janice Bowling

Janice joined Greenshaw in 2003 and has since developed into a senior leader within our Trust as our Head of Systems & Integration.

My journey with Greenshaw began in January 2003, stepping into a maternity cover role as a Clerical Assistant at Greenshaw High School. What started as a temporary position evolved into a twenty-year career defined by growth and opportunity. Over the years, I have held nearly every operational lever within the school environment—from PA to the Senior Leadership Team and School Timetabler to LEAD Manager, where I headed a team responsible for Data, Exams, and innovative school-wide projects. This "on-the-ground" experience provided me with a deep, organic understanding of how schools function, which eventually paved the way for my transition to the Greenshaw Learning Trust (GLT) central team in 2015. Starting as the Trust Data Manager and PA to the CEO, my role has continually expanded to meet the needs of our growing organisation, leading to my current position as Head of Systems & Integration.

Greenshaw’s commitment to "Always Learning" isn't just a mantra; it has been the engine of my professional development. Throughout my tenure, the Trust has supported me in achieving a wealth of qualifications, including an NVQ Level 3, a CMI Level 5 in Management and Leadership, and a First-Class Honours Degree in School Business Leadership from the University of Chester. Now, as a Chartered Manager, I am continuing that trajectory by embarking on a Level 4 "AI Catalyst" apprenticeship. This newest chapter allows me to bring cutting-edge efficiency to our systems, ensuring that our digital infrastructure remains as forward-thinking as our classrooms. My career is a testament to the fact that at GLT, there is no ceiling—only the next opportunity to learn and lead.
