Izzy Ambrose Appointed as Executive Director of Education
We are delighted to announce the appointment of Izzy Ambrose as Executive Director of Education, effective 1 January 2027.
Following a decision by the Board of Trustees and in line with the Trust’s new Strategic Ambitions, this key leadership role will strengthen our collective focus on collaboration and great teaching, accelerating educational outcomes across all GLT schools.
Izzy Ambrose is an accomplished senior leader within the Trust, having previously served as Assistant Director and subsequently Director of Secondary Education, as well as Headteacher of Yate Academy. Throughout her career at GLT, she has demonstrated a strong track record of raising standards in teaching and learning and driving educational improvement.
In her new role, Izzy will work closely and collaboratively with colleagues across primary, secondary and special education to strengthen cross-phase ways of working and alignment.
