Will Meldrum appointed as Headteacher of Barnwood Park School

Greenshaw Learning Trust is pleased to announce the appointment of Will Meldrum as Headteacher of Barnwood Park School in Gloucester, effective from 1 September 2026.

Will is an experienced and highly regarded senior leader within the Trust. He previously worked at Five Acres High School before joining Gloucester Academy as Deputy Headteacher in 2022. During his time there, he has played a key role in driving significant improvements, with the school subsequently recognised by Ofsted for its strong progress.

Earlier in his career, Will developed his expertise in high-performing schools within the Harris Federation. He brings a wealth of experience, with particular strengths in raising standards and securing positive outcomes for young people. His strategic leadership and commitment to excellence position him strongly to lead Barnwood Park School into its next phase.

Stephen Derry, who has been serving as Acting Headteacher at Barnwood Park School, will return to his role within the Trust’s shared service as Associate Assistant Director of Secondary Education, alongside continuing as Headteacher of Henley Bank High School. The Trust extends its sincere thanks to Stephen for his outstanding leadership and commitment during this period.
