GREENSHAW LEARNING TRUST AND PLYMPTON ACADEMY

Consultation on the proposal that Plympton Academy should join the Greenshaw Learning Trust.

The Greenshaw Learning Trust has been working to support Plympton Academy in Plympton, Devon, and the governing body of Plympton Academy had proposed that it should formally join the Greenshaw Learning Trust, and consultation on that proposal had commenced.

However, following further discussions and due diligence, the trustees of the Greenshaw Learning Trust have concluded that Plympton Academy would not be a good match for the Greenshaw Learning Trust and have ceased the process to consult on the Academy joining the Trust. The consultation has been closed and the planned consultation events have been cancelled.

This does not affect the Greenshaw Learning Trust’s commitment to continue to work to support schools and education colleagues in the Plymouth area and the proposal that the Inspiring Schools Partnership should join the Greenshaw Learning Trust is proceeding as planned.
