STATE OF THE ART BUILDING FOR BRAKENHALE SCHOOL

At the start of term Brakenhale School, in Bracknell, welcomed students into a brand new state of the art three-storey building. The new building has replaced three-quarters of the existing accommodation and vastly improved the learning environment, providing enhanced specialist teaching spaces for science and technology subjects. 

The funding for the new building came from the Priority Schools Building Programme, which was established to address the needs of those schools in the poorest condition, requiring urgent repair. The new building has been built within the grounds of the school and the majority of the existing school buildings, built in 1958, will subsequently be demolished.
 
Jane Coley, Headteacher of Brakenhale School, said: “We are absolutely thrilled with our new school building. The last four years have been focused on designing and implementing our dream school and it has finally come to fruition. At last our students have a learning environment that is a true reflection of how amazing they are.”
