Victor Seymour has a large nursery and places are offered in accordance with our Admissions Arrangements shown below.

Children attend our Nursery for 15 hours a week – 3 hours per day Monday to Friday.  There are also a limited number of 30-hour per week places for those parents who are eligible.  These places are offered on a first come, first served basis.

For children wishing to join our nursery from September 2025, please complete the paper application form available below for 2025/2026 or visit the school office for a hard copy. Please refer to the 'when can my child start nursery' document below before completing the application form to check you are completing the correct form.

The closing date for applications to be considered on time is 4.30pm on 15th January 2025

Applications are accepted after this date. However, they will only be considered after all those applications that were received on time. If there are more applications than places available, your child will be placed on our waiting list according to our admissions arrangements which are shown above.

Please bring proof of your child’s date of birth (birth certificate or passport) and recent proof of your address when returning your application.

Applying for Victor Seymour Nursery 2026/27

  • Applications for children who are 3 on or by 31st August 2026 to start in the Autumn Term 2026
  • Applications for children who are 3 on or by 31st December 2026 to start in the Spring Term 2027
  • Applications for children who are 3 on or by 31st March 2027 to start in the Summer Term 2027

Please note:

15-hour applicants offered a place will be admitted to Gold Class.

Gold Class hours are 8.30am -11.30am Monday-Friday. 

Lunch club is available for Gold Class 11.30am-12.30pm at an additional cost (paid termly in advance by the parent/carer).  Agreed days cannot be changed and are chargeable for the full term.  There is no ad hoc provision available. 

30-hour applications are subject to confirmation of eligibility.  Any child offered a 30-hour place will be admitted to Silver Class (once eligibility has been validated).

Silver Class hours are 9.30am - 3.30pm.  Children may attend 8.30am-3.30pm at an additional cost (paid termly in advance by the parent/carer).  Agreed days cannot be changed and are chargeable for the full term.  There is no ad hoc provision available. 

Only when Gold Class is full will any additional 15-hour applicants be considered for Silver Class, subject to availability.  

Any existing 15-hour five-termers in Silver class, (ie. those children who started Nursery in the Spring or Summer Term 2026) will be moved to part-time provision in Gold Class for the following academic year.  

Additional costs for lunch club or early drop off must be paid in advance at the start of each term.
