Patrick Farmbrough appointed Director of Secondary Education

Greenshaw Learning Trust has appointed Patrick Farmbrough as Director of Secondary Education, with effect from 1 January 2027.
Patrick has served as Assistant Director of Secondary Education at GLT for the past five years. Before this, as Headteacher of Holmleigh Park High School in Gloucester, he led the school out of Special Measures and transformed its reputation in the community. Earlier in his career, he held teaching and leadership positions at Westminster Academy in London.
As the Trust’s phase lead for secondary education, Patrick will drive improvement across all GLT secondary schools. His focus will include effective instructional coaching, leading on the delivery of disruption-free classrooms and robust raising standards programmes, so that every pupil benefits from great teaching and makes exceptional progress. He will work closely with Izzy and the wider secondary team, as well as with colleagues across primary and special schools, to deliver the Trust’s strategic priorities.
Will Smith, CEO of Greenshaw Learning Trust, said: “Patrick brings a proven record of school improvement and a deep commitment to the pupils we serve. I am delighted that he will lead our secondary schools, and I look forward to working with him as we continue to raise standards across the Trust.”
