Information about Forest High School and Berkeley Green UTC joining the Greenshaw Learning Trust

The South Gloucestershire and Stroud Academy Trust Board (SGS) has been carefully considering the future for its schools and evaluating options.
Following extensive discussions with stakeholders and officers at the Department for Education, the SGSAT Board of Trustees has agreed that it is in the best interests of the pupils and staff at Forest High School in Cinderford, and Berkeley Green UTC in Berkeley, to transfer these schools to the Greenshaw Learning Trust.
The Greenshaw Learning Trust (GLT) Board of Trustees has agreed to the transfer of the schools to GLT, subject to the necessary due diligence and support from the Department for Education.
Forest High School is on an improvement journey and has already been working closely with and being supported by colleagues from GLT.
Berkeley Green UTC is a highly successful technical college and will benefit from further collaboration with the GLT network of schools.
The transfers are subject to detailed due diligence, including a period of engagement with all stakeholders and final approval from the Department for Education.
Further details of the consultation will be published shortly. It is anticipated, subject to the necessary due diligence and agreements, that the schools will transfer to GLT by the start of 2027.
