Kim’s journey began in 2006 as an Office Administrator at John Madejski Academy, which became part of GLT in 2025. Over the years, Kim progressed through a range of operational roles, building extensive experience and expertise, and has since taken on the role of Systems and Integration Lead.
My career within the Greenshaw Learning Trust (GLT) is a testament to the organisation’s commitment to "Always Learning." My journey began in 2006 as an Office Administrator at John Madejski Academy, who would eventually go on to join GLT in 2025. Over my years at JMA, I transitioned through vital operational roles—from Timetabler and Data Assistant to Exams Officer—while simultaneously earning a degree in Criminology and Psychology. By 2016, I joined Brakenhale School and GLT as Data Manager, where I further expanded my expertise to include school timetabling and cover management. This foundational experience in a school provided me with the deep institutional knowledge necessary to eventually support the wider Trust.
What sets GLT apart from the rest is its genuine support for professional development and personal milestones. In 2022, while 37 weeks pregnant, I interviewed for a role within Shared Services at GLT. Now, as the Systems and Integration Lead, I support Data Managers, Exams Officers, Administrators and Timetablers across our schools and lead the migrations of joining schools moving to Bromcom. GLT has consistently backed my academic pursuits, allowing me to complete a Level 4 Apprenticeship in School Business Management which I started whilst at Brakenhale, and I have recently started an additional Level 4 apprenticeship to further progress my role. At GLT, your career isn't just a job; it’s a continuous pathway of learning.
