Five Acres success recognised by Ofsted

Five Acres High School has received its first ever ‘Good’ Ofsted inspection.

Five Acres High School has received its first ever ‘Good’ Ofsted inspection following a huge transformation since it joined the Greenshaw Learning Trust in September 2017. Ofsted rated the school as good for behaviour and attitudes; leadership and management; quality of education and personal development.

The inspection team visited in February 2022 and found that the Headteacher has an ‘ambitious vision for the school’, which is shared by staff, students and parents.

Inspectors noted that pupils are very positive about the quality of education, behave very well in lessons, feel safe and cared for and that the curriculum nurtures high aspirations.

Will Smith, Chief Executive Officer of the Greenshaw Learning Trust, said: “Five Acres High School has been on a rapid improvement journey and we are delighted that this has been recognised by OFSTED. As a thriving, popular, local school, our community can be proud of the hard work of students and teachers.”
